The Summer Recap

THE SUMMER RECAP

Summer is coming to a close quickly...such a bittersweet thing for me. I do/ don't want to leave home and return to the crazy routine but recapping this summer might make me feel better about the situation!

First off... May brought the end of a great semester for me. I felt like I had grown in understanding and music technique. My friend groups were amazing and we shared many great worship sessions and games together! I experienced the whole late nights and early mornings with my friends and they were a success! I didn't even get super hangry EVERY night!πŸ˜‰

Oh and you should be proud of me for pulling an all-dayer 98% of the last semester...I had to sacrifice my naps and that was a hard thing for me. I am not ashamed to admit this!😏

Sister time
When I returned home I learned how to relax again VERY quickly...πŸ˜‚

I searched for jobs and was blessed to have been able to work most week days until the end of July.

HOWEVER...as I made money, I spent money. I confessed to Dylan that I may have become a habitual shopper and he agreed with me immediately. BUT I shop the clearance racks and rarely spend more than $20 at a time.... I just do that sort of thing often...😬He doesn't think it's a bad thing- yet! πŸ˜‚

Target and Marshalls have become my go to stores. I bought brand new dresses for $8, outfits under $20, and large bowls and other di
shes around $2 a piece. It has become a challenge to find what I want on clearance and wait to see how low the price will go before I snatch it off the shelves...Watch out shoppers!!

I attempted to take a Clep exam to get credit for an English composition course. My results were 5 points under what I needed them to be. As you can see, I was a little frustrated...but I am learning to let some things go.

I also learned this summer that it is SUPER important to remember to put on sunscreen! Even though it turned into a nice tan, it could have been less painful if I had simply remembered to put on 4 SPF.

Josh Turner sings a song with the lyric, "The longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss." I found this to be true this summer! Seeing my fiance once a month was a change but we made it!

I ventured out with art and started painting a little bit. Nothing crazy- in fact I just used water colors. Painting was just a fun experience. My Polaroid camera was one of the highlights of my summer as well! Simple things make life enjoyable. I've learned to appreciate them.

I still have not seen the new Jurassic World even though Chris Pratt may or may not be one of my favorite actors...but someday! I have finally started on the Lord of The Rings series and was able to see another Thor movie- yes I have a long movie list to complete.

I have finally been able to clean out my closet and start changing my wardrobe. I'm pretty sure I don't wear clothes from my preteen years anymore!

One of the little enjoyable things I got to experience this summer was RAIN...I love rain!

I was able to fly in a plane for the very first time...although I can't say it was the best feeling ever! Students, take motion sickness meds BEFORE getting on a plane!

FINALLY, I was able to order my wedding dress!!! I cannot wait for it to be here in the next 4-6 months!!

DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY!
