How I Met My Fiance; Church Bells for the Tidwells
HOW I MET MY FIANCE
From the woman's perspective
He is probably not going to be happy about me using these pictures but oh well! A wise woman (his mother) once told me to choose my battles.😂
I will always tell people I met Dylan for the first time in Vacation Bible School. Even though we probably met beforehand, I was 12 and he was 13 at the time.
When I first met Dylan I liked a few solid things:
- He was a comedian. ANYONE who has met Dylan knows he always has a joke in his back pocket and a long story to go along with it!
- He was tall for his age...back then (haha)😁.
- He would usually pray for a group when given the opportunity - even at 13.
Yes, he had a mix between a "bowl" haircut and the Justin Bieber style hair whip/flip/not sure what...I think that was what he was going for?? (sorry Babe). I do know that I DID like his hair!
Dylan always sold me because he never forgot to tell me goodbye at church. I would secretly be mad at him and he would still walk up like everything was fine and dandy and give a quick hug goodbye. I usually couldn't stay angry too long.😏
BUT...there still was a period of about a year when I gave him the silent treatment while he got his act together. 😆
He finally came to his senses just before I turned 16 and professed his love to me over the phone. I refused (because it was over the phone), but the next day when I saw him at church I asked, "Did you mean everything you said?"
He said, "Yes."
"Okay." It was a matter of minutes before he was holding my hand.
And that was how our adventure started! Nothing super fancy but I sure will remember! We've done just about everything together that involves growing up: driver's ed, first jobs, graduation, the loss of relatives, moving, and college. No other relationship could replace all that we've gone through together. In fact, I had never dated anyone else.
I personally think it's pretty awesome that my first boyfriend is going to be my hubby!
PLUS he's my own personal comedian, GPS, and counselor!
~Thanks for being my best friend babe!💗
